Pursuit of Your Route is​ a creative space for students and graduates to explore, consider and contemplate their interests and passions in order to enhance their career development. It's a space that aims to inspire individuals to follow their own intuition and ambition to forge a career that is right for them.

Some people know exactly what they want to do from a young age and are happy to stay and progress within their chosen field for the duration of their working lives. The comfort and confidence shown by individuals in this position can sometimes make those who are uncertain about their career paths feel a little uneasy and bit lost. I'm Maeve and as a former student and recent graduate, I felt this way for some time.

However, I’ve slowly come to realise that there is so much creative potential and opportunity for growth in not knowing exactly what one wants to do. Not knowing means that you might have to try and try again before realising what route you want to take or create for yourself. While this may seem daunting, this process can be a really exciting one. By seeking out and trying a range of courses, apprenticeships, internships, work and travel experiences, you are exposing yourself to an infinite amount of experiences and ideas that will inevitably help you figure out what you like and don't like.

I’m certainly no career expert but I feel that, as a former student and recent graduate, I have some learnings and insights which others might find useful in the pursuit of their route. I’m also a firm believer that we can learn so much from others. Therefore, I use my podcast to interview a variety of individuals who have taken their own unique routes to discover and explore their respective passions and interests.
